Identity Verification (KYC) in PayMoji

Identity verification (KYC / know-your-customer) helps protect your account, comply with financial regulations, and unlock full access to PayMoji's services. The whole process takes about two minutes from start to finish.

PayMoji verification has two levels:

  • Standard verification unlocks the core PayMoji features. You'll submit a government-issued ID, take a selfie, verify your phone number, and answer a few quick profile questions.
  • Advanced verification unlocks higher transaction limits. You'll upload one document that confirms your address. This is optional and can be done anytime after Standard verification.

This article walks you through both steps so you know what to expect.

Before You Start

Have the following ready:

  • A valid government-issued ID (Passport or ID card)
  • Your mobile phone (for SMS verification)
  • About two minutes of uninterrupted time
  • Good lighting for clear ID and selfie photos

Standard Verification Guide

Step 1. Start verification

Open PayMoji and tap Sure, verify now on the home screen prompt.

Common Issues

My verification was rejected

If your verification fails, check the in-app message for the specific reason. Common causes include blurry photos, expired documents, mismatched information, or unsupported document types. You can resubmit with updated information from User settings > Verification.

My status has been "Under review" for more than 24 hours

Most verifications complete within minutes, but some may take up to 24 hours. If your status hasn't updated after 24 hours, contact support by submitting a ticket.

I didn't receive the SMS code

Make sure your phone has signal and you entered your number correctly. You can request a new code after the countdown timer ends. If the issue persists, try again with a different phone number or contact support.
